You want your clients to feel relaxed at all times. That’s why it’s so important to create a comfortable environment for them.
According to the International Spa Association, there are six components that make up a spa experience:
Sensory stimulation
Basically, all the sensations that guests experience when they visit your salon. This includes everything from aromatherapy to music.
Spatial design
How your space is designed can affect the client’s experience, from easy-to-find parking spots to relaxing waiting areas that don’t have televisions blaring.
Service delivery
The way you interact with clients can make all the difference in their experience as well. A relaxed and unhurried atmosphere goes a long way toward creating a positive one.
Locations
People want to get away from their everyday lives, so you need to offer them a place that has some sense of mystery or adventure about it. Consider adding a few exotic touches here and there if you want to get noticed by potential clients.
Temperature
Maintaining the right temperature is essential as well. The International Spa Association recommends no more than 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) for most treatments or cooler temperatures for things like saunas or hot tubs.
Creating a relaxed environment for your clients is a great way to improve the customer experience and persuade them to return. It will also help to earn their trust and gratitude, which are keys to building a healthy and fruitful relationship between the client and you.
